Firas’ global experience includes integration of leadership development, career progression, succession planning, employee wellbeing, employee experience and knowledge sharing as essential strategies to attract and retain top talent.

Prior to Royer Thompson, Firas lived and worked in the United Arab Emirates for 13 years where he held progressive roles in HR with a large financial organization and conglomerate. As the head of Talent Acquisition, Firas was responsible for leading recruitment across all levels of the organization in Automotive, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Oil & Gas Services.
Firas holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lebanese University. He also holds a Level 3 Certificate in Human Resources Practice from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in the UK.
Having moved to Canada in September 2018, Firas and his wife decided to make Halifax their new home. He enjoys learning new skills and observing new trends, and loves soccer, Formula 1, and enjoys Italian food.
