George brings over 25 years of experience in providing Human Resources and Labour Relations services to clients. As a seasoned labour negotiator and consensus builder, he served for a number of years as Nova Scotia's Deputy Minister of Environment and Labour.
In addition to his knowledge of labour relations strategy and extensive negotiation/mediation skills, George also brings a detailed understanding of health and safety, and Workers' Compensation issues. His expertise will support our Firm's service capacity in critical human resource areas and add value to our clients.
George holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, and is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program for the Nova Scotia Public Service.
He has served as Chair of the Province's Long Term Disability Board of Trustees, Chair of the Skills Nova Scotia Task Force, and the Deputy Ministers' Steering Committee on Restructuring. He also sat as a member on the Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board and the National Advisory Board on Early Action for Climate Change.
