Sonya Stevens promoted to Vice President at Royer Thompson

We are proud to announce that Sonya Stevens, Ph.D., has been promoted to Vice President, Talent and Culture Advisory.

Over her nearly three years with the firm, Sonya has had a profound impact on Royer Thompson and with our clients, by introducing proprietary and proven strategies that align stated values with actions that facilitate culture transformation and enhanced organizational performance. She is masterful at leveraging the full potential of people to excel in leadership roles – at a system level.

As practice lead, Sonya and her colleagues, advise on culture transformation, talent strategy, succession planning, executive team alignment, leadership assessment and development, and executive coaching.

Sonya is thrilled to take on this expanded role and embraces the opportunity to help organizations emerge from COVID stronger and more focused on people.

Prior to joining Royer Thompson, Sonya worked for a global consulting firm and held a leadership role at TD Bank corporate headquarters in Toronto. She has worked with diverse organizations, including many multinational and Fortune 500 companies, across various industries including healthcare, financial services, professional services, utilities, construction, retail and government. Sonya has a strong focus on developing evidence-based and practical solutions that drive tangible organizational impact.

Sonya is a thought leader in our profession. She is part-time faculty at Saint Mary’s University, a published academic author and a member of various professional associations. Sonya holds a Masters and PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Saint Mary’s University and a BSc in Psychology from Dalhousie University. She is a Registered Psychologist and International Coaching Federation certified coach (ACC). She has completed advanced training in Return on Investment (ROI) methodology and is certified in many leadership and personality assessment tools.
