Charla is a diversity consultant and has focused her career on assisting under-represented community members to gain their “voice” and sustainable employment. Charla has an extensive background in employment equity and diversity, and is known for her work in developing and delivering effective cultural competency workshops.
- Extensive experience developing and implementing Employment Equity, Race Relations and Diversity Programs and Policies
- Community volunteer and has sat on several national, provincial, and local committees
- Former Chair of the Halifax African Nova Scotian Employment Network (HANSEN) and former member of the African Nova Scotian Employability Table
- Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology from Dalhousie University
Outside of work, Charla enjoys singing and performing.
