Jody brings 15+ years of experience in senior level positions from the private and non-profit sectors leading HR teams to successfully implement organization-wide talent strategies. Her passion to help people and build relationships have been instrumental in driving high employee engagement fostering cultures where employees feel a sense of community and can collaborate with their peers to excel. Jody’s expertise spans across vital HR functions including employee and leadership development, talent acquisition and retention, competency development, performance management and goal setting, employee communication strategies, onboarding and offboarding, policy development and implementation. Her leadership style is characterized by her collaborative approach, empathetic leadership, and unwavering integrity.
At Royer Thompson Jody plays a pivotal role in scoping, planning, and leading the delivery of transformative Talent and HR Advisory projects. She provides strategic advice and leadership to clients on HR planning, talent strategy, employee experience, policies and regulations, workforce planning and more.
Jody holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University with a major in Strategic Human Resource Management, a Human Resource Management Certificate from Saint Mary’s University, and a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Royal Roads University.
Outside of work, Jody enjoys traveling, cooking and entertaining friends and family, spending time at the beach, camping, and going for walks with her dog Hudson.
