Headquartered in Berwick, Nova Scotia, a community nestled in the Annapolis Valley, Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated is a leader in Canada’s poultry industry, employing approximately 430 people. Reporting to the President, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive team, and also serves as corporate secretary and corporate services manager with accountability for the administration of finance, IT, live procurement, and legal issues. The CFO plays a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of Eden Valley Poultry Incorporated and is responsible for providing financial oversight, cost and inventory management, forecasting, data/analysis and insights, budgeting, capital deployment, and regulatory filings. The CFO is an advisor to the operations managers, evaluating and assisting them with financial plans and economic modeling. The CFO is responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of the board.

The successful candidate has a post-graduate degree and accounting designation, and at least five years of financial and accounting management, ideally in a food production company. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate with colleagues and build strong relationships internally and with external partners.
