Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Vice President, Finance (VP) is a key member of the senior management team and plays a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of Micco Companies Ltd. The VP is responsible for providing financial oversight, financial reporting, cost management, forecasting, data/analysis and insights, budgeting, capital deployment, and regulatory filings. The VP oversees all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization and will serve as the financial advisor to the COO. The VP complements the senior management team and steers the activities of Micco’s finance and accounting team, ensuring that day-to-day decision making and long-term planning is supported by accurate and timely financial insights.

The VP is an experienced, enterprise-minded finance leader with a keen interest in organizational growth, strategy and planning, and enabling operational effectiveness. They are an experienced people leader who brings out the best in others and fosters a positive and productive workplace culture. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of demonstrated success in a senior finance role with a track record of increasing responsibility over time with multiple reports and responsibility for financial results. Experience in a family business is a definite asset. A post-secondary business degree in finance, accounting, management, or related discipline and a CPA designation are required. The VP has diverse industry experience that could include but is not limited to, manufacturing, retail, logistics, or technology. Exposure to multiple business lines is an asset. Additional assets include exposure to commercial real estate and previous participation in acquisition activities.
