Vice President, Information Technology – NSLC (Filled)

Demand for IT business partnering throughout the organization is increasing to augment operational excellence and best accomplish the NSLC’s mandate and vision. A business-minded technology leader with passion for leading and inspiring people, the Vice President, Information Technology fosters a collaborative and client focused team that enables the NSLC to model excellence in retail, partnership, employee experience, and responsible industry stewardship.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Services, the Vice President is accountable for overall IT leadership, developing and implementing proactive information technology strategies that enable the achievement of corporate business goals, and overseeing IT governance and risk management.

The Vice President leads and mentors a talented team, builds strong internal stakeholder relationships, and effectively manages technology vendor partnerships. They are accountable for solution development and delivery, as well as the design and sustainability of a secure IT infrastructure. As a strategic business partner, they are responsible for ensuring that IT talent and investments are optimized for the NSLC’s retail environment, contributing to the execution of the NSLC’s strategic plan.

The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in a related field such as Information Technology or Computer Science, and is a senior IT leader with at least 10 years of progressive experience, ideally spent in complex consumer-driven or multi-stakeholder environments. They excel at collaborating and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of IT strategies and business plans aligned with corporate business objectives. The Vice President is an excellent communicator, is client-focused, and is an inclusive people leader with demonstrated experience leading high functioning teams and fostering organizational alignment. Prior IT experience in a retail environment is considered an asset.
