An integrated, provincial health organization, Nova Scotia Health brings together 23,000 employees, 2,600 physicians, 8,733 nurses, 5,000 learners and 7,000 volunteers. With nine regional hospitals, one quaternary care centre and over 135 service sites, including community hospitals and community services, Nova Scotia Health is supported by over 40 Healthcare Foundations and 33 auxiliaries that raise funds to support facilities, healthcare innovation and services.

Over the past two years, in particular, health professionals, staff and volunteers have stepped up in extremely difficult circumstances to support each other and to deliver for patients and the community. Going forward, Nova Scotia Health is doubling down on its efforts to care for those who care for others.
